MIG Welding

This type of welding is mainly used to assemble parts of a thickness between 0.035 and 1.25 of an inch. MIG welding is stronger but results in a work where the welds will always be much more visible than with TIG welding of SPOT welding because of the addition of welding material.  Consequently, this technology will be used where strength is more important than aesthetics.

Comparatively, MIG welding is faster than TIG welding for a similar strength. Small non repetitive orders are welded manually while large or repetitive orders are welded with the automated process (robotic welders).

All our welding work is done using only certified welding gas and certified welding wire meeting or exceeding the CWB norm.  We are also accredited under ACNOR, CSA, W47.1 and ISO 9001/2000. Our work is done according to the ACNOR regulations for the following materials :

• Steel
• Satin Coated Steel
• Galvanized Steel

Our company is also qualified for manual or automated welding of all the following materials;

• Aluminum (any weldable alloy like; 6061-T6, H32, 5056, etc)
• Stainless Steel
• Titanium
• Magnesium
